Official Guru3D GOTY - Nomination Phase 1

I think we should have an Official GOTY decided by everyone here at the boards. It will be split up into a couple of different phases depending on how many nominations are given.

Phase 1 Rules:

1) Please give 1 game you wish to nominate
2) A game can only be nominated once; check the thread if the game is already nominated PLEASE DO NOT nominate again
3) No remarks about the game being nominated and NO POSTS other than nomination; I can't go through 20 pages of people arguing and talking about games to find nominations; mods any assistance is appriciated
4) Phase 1 will be open for couple days
5) Any games that were released from Janurary 1, 2008 until current date
6) Console + PC games are allowed; nomination only needed for game; not platform (so don't say GOW2 Xbox, just say GOW2, or MEPC vs MEXbox, just say Mass Effect)
7) Game only has to be released on one platform in year of 2008; so if the game was released on console in 2007, but on PC in 2008 it is still elligible (rule 6 still applies)
8) Please check release date before posting; a quick search of "game name wiki" on google will usually give you a wiki posting of such information

I nominate Left 4 Dead . ( but my vote will definitely go to Metal Gear Solid 4... when the voting phase comes )

 

Really the game that i played more than 2 times alraedy is Mass Effect so i nominate it. Such a great story.......

So people are allowed to nominate for GOTY, unless we vote for them, like a poll or something, how is this thread any different to a "I really like this game" thread? How is the winner to be announced too.

 

This is only the nomination, depending on how nominations there will be Phase 2 will be different. If there are a whole lot we will have to have a 'poll off' in which several polls will be conducted dropping the poorest performing nominations. When total number is reduced to equal the max number of max poll opions the final phase will begin.
