Geforce 180.84 Beta Drivers

Are these drivers good for Windows 7 Build 6956 w/ GeForce 8600GTS?

 

Funny since Windows 7 is still in pre beta & the drivers for Windows 7 are in alpha stage still. so no it's not a good driver but it's a good driver for XP & Vista

Getting average 47FPS here in gtabench autoconfig. Specs on left. I guess could get 50+ if i overclocked my E8400 more than atm, it's at 3.4 :3eyes:

 

Hmm well the Nvidia Pure Video Encoder directshow plugin doesn't seem like much actual use at present without a front end to control it. I can't get the Encoding settings exposed as it appears there is a lack of exported functionality to display them. My analysis is it's not quite complete yet and thus I'm not spending anymore time on it.

I got it connected between the decoder and haali matroska muxer but it refuses to do anything useful. Ah well. Perhaps in the future it may be worth playing with again!

When playing the game go to the options menu and check the controls.
What do i see there? DAMN a xbox360 controller explaining the controls?

Damn i must have bought a xbox360? , nope.

This game yeels CONSOLE PORT from all sides.
With the graphics i'm playing on it uses like 3/4 of my quadcore and 72%+ from my 4gb of memory.
processor hog and memory hog for such a game......
Takes freaking ages to actaully make a turn with your card.
Should have downloaded it illegally instead of buying what a waste of my money.

 

Thank you, I will keep my 177.92 drivers then, I sent Nvidia a support ticket when the first 180.xx drivers appeared and they still have not made any effort to address the issue.

have done this with beta PRE 180.48WHQL .. but then I just installed 180.84
So I will try this ... and let you guys know... btw when it crashed the first time and I restart the game.. it actually look like the problem is delayed and that i can play a while longer :3eyes:

Wow... runs even better that before and looking better... strange thing is:
After running for 2hours or more, (never had played that long) before it would crash 2 desktop... now for 2 times it does something else!

It just completely hangs.. in a ingame cinematic after i finished the mission,
kinda sucks couz now i have to do the hard mission all over... and it does not crash 2 the desktop but hangs, i have 2 manualy CTRL ALT DEL and close.

But i think it's playable enough.. so I keep close look to this topic en maybe GTA4 patch or new NVidia driver will solve the rest of my problems :nerd:

Got a problem since downloading those drivers..
Unreal tournament 3 crashes after a minute of playing or so.

COD4, CRYSIS and SHAUN WHITE all working flawless here.....all I've played since switchin' to these.

 

Yeah I am limited by my 22 inch Sammy at the moment. A 24 inch is on the Christmas wish list.

 

No doubt an SLI problem. It's obviously NOT your hardware whereas in the other guy's case, it was.

Runs fine for me on a single 280.

Well could be ... because he only usses 1360 x 768,
maybe tommorow ill post some result with lower that 1600x1200..
with my single 8800GT 512mb / so we have some more to compare :nerd:

Hey Hollandse broeder ... we hebben bijna de zelfde specs,
maar vind t prima spelen op 1680x1050... MED
1920x1200 LOW kan ook, maar daar begin ik niet aan... bah!

Ik heb em dus gereserveerd... nuj gedownload om te kijken of het wat was en zolang ik nog niet 100% tevreden ben haal ik mijn order niet op..
dus mocht de patch uit zijn... en er een wereld van verschil zijn, dan wel!

BTW: ik heb dus zo'n X360 controller for PC kit gekocht 45euro...
fuk wat is dat heerlijk spelen.. aangezien ik een rugaandoening heb kan ik lekker wireless... staan/zitten/liggen, speel toch alleen Single Player... GTA4 is echt hemels met die controller dude!!
