uhmm yes ok well we aren't talking about the same power supply you know? the R8's are indy regulated. My TT never drops below 12.10V at load and the drop from idle is only .01V <shrugs>
It looks like some NZXT PSU are made by Superflower (like 800W). Maybe you could help check. http://www.bcchardware.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6425&Itemid=40 http://www1.oc.com.tw/forums/msgexcel.asp?id=C10&msgid=68044&n=1&remsgid=68037&allfrom=68037&itype=1
Hi Makalu I've just come across a new series of PSU from OCZ called the Fatal1ty series. There are 3 models, a 400w, a 550w (modular) and a 700w. Here are their respective product pages: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_400w_fatal1ty_power_supply http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_550w_fatal1ty_series_power_supply http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_fatal1ty_series_power_supply_700w
Hey Mak, Well I finally gave in and bought a new PS to replace my Antec smart power 500. Ya, hard to believe uh! . The Antec is still working but I'm upgrading my GPU soon and found a super buy on a OCZ Stealthstream at new egg. (49.99 with free shipping after 25.00 rebate at NEW EGG). Just thought I would post up this review for the readers. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/451/1
well you sure got your moneys worth out of the Antec and I hope you get long service from the OCZ too...I should mention for the sake of others to make sure you've got those Epsilon based units plugged into a functioning surge suppressor since they've no MOV...especially important for those in areas that get a lot of lightning storms.

gladly...thanks...good to see Seventeam getting good business. I remember when Seventeam was THE brand in power supplies (before PCP&C)
could you find out the amps of my psu Xilence gaming edition 750w carnt find it on the box or psu buti think by logic it pushinabout 56-60amps thanks very much if you could find that out
that's one that I couldn't find the combined rating on either but it appears to be the same OEM as the 700W Xilence that carries a 46A combined rating. So assuming its the same OEM and same platform and that all of the additional 50W comes off the 12V's then it would be rated about 50 amps.
yeah sometimes we see label information or formats that don't follow the norm and don't really make sense and that's one of them. Normally there should just be one box under all four 12V rails with one wattage rating...not two with 375W like that. The only units that have labeling like that are dual transformer designs which are normally only seen in 1kw+ units. But even if it was a dual transformer design the info there would be saying that it can do 375x2 watts on the 12V's alone...that's 750W there so it would be rated something like 850W by the time you added in the other rails. Anyway here's the deal....most people agree that PSU loads should be kept under 75%-80% of total capacity. They last longer, run cooler and quieter, have better energy efficiency, and the outputs are more likely to be stable, clean and closer to nominal. So 80% of 750W is 600W...that's the recommended max load on your PSU. About 50W of that 600W total is going to be needed by the 3.3V and 5V rails which leaves 550W off the 12V's. That's about 46A and we know even the 700W model is good for that so what I'm saying is that it may not have as much 12V capability as some other 750W units out there but it's still enough for anything that you should be asking of it.
Hi Makalu This is just a heads up, but I've come across announcements for a new series of PSU's from Antec called the Truepower True. http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Antec-954048.html http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,...New-Power-supplies-with-550-to-750-Watt/News/ No news or info is currently available on Antec's site at the moment, just a link to another site that can't be named
yeah thanks I'll be keeping an eye out for those...rumor has it that they are Seasonic but the ad makes me think Channel Well
Mushkin XP-800AP (64A) is not at list. http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/power_supply/xp-800ap.asp Keep up the good work Makalu
thanks man...I'll add it now...it's another Topower with the rail fusion switch that doesn't really do anything. I really need to go to every brands website on the list and look for new units but won't have the time till next winter...
Hi Makalu Just came across a review for the Antec Truepower New 750w over on Bjorn3d.com. Here's a screen grab of the label: http://img2.pict.com/d7/3d/cb/a60b77cc415f9a1ef86ec01b21/1DZLU/bjorn3d.jpg I think it says it's rated at 62a@12v, but my eyesight might be failing me on that as the picture's a bit blurry
