GeForce Driver 180.60 BETA @ CUDA

These are the best drivers so far for me. Warhead Min + 2fps, Avg +2.5fps, Max +.5fps from 180.48. Far Cry 2 went up as well.

Far Cry 2 all settings on Ultra or very high when ultra not available. 1900/1200 16XAF no AA, 3 run loop average.

180.70's were terrible on my PC. Crysis bench would not work properly all the time and Far Cry 2 fps were 5 lower for avg and only 55fps Max.

Will stick with these for now

 

Any differences in IQ on these??

I am on the 180.48 WHQL atm!!

 

Did a major test on CoD:WW with this set, compared to the .48 yes there is IQ improvement for sure, they seem to run very smooth for me.

 

There also seem to run great for me also, I tested alot of diffent games with them.

.60 is just slightly better than .70 on Crysis Warhead for me so I guess there's no point in sticking with an older driver for now. c1:

 

this driver is better than 140.48 for me, improve crysis and FC2...

 

openGl extensions have increased from 161 to 170 with this driver(previous 178.24) .... nvidia control panel has an option for setting physx confguration ... no update for nfs undercover ( not in the list ) ..

 

Dayum! two new drivers already guess I'll skip these betas for now and wait for the official ones...

No there are no PhysX in this one.

What does this CUDA do for the drivers? Can you install the CUDA with drivers prior to these?

How does CUDA help and who should install it?

 

CUDA is in the drivers, you can not install the drivers without CUDA.

and why is it necessary (or what does it help).

Aren't we using cuda by installing the physx drivers along with our drivers (or seperately)? If so, what is this "other one"?

am I not making sense? This seems like an easy question.
