Same here I'm using the 97.92 drivers but I hate them because steam has severe graphical anomalies and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has some real FPS problems when using Sun Shadows and when using AA

I have heard people are using 100.87 drivers from here and curious if it will increase anything or better get source games to work well I cant even get dark messiah to run it get nv4_disp.dll loop BSOD

where do you get the 97.95, and will it do anything to my warrenty? im getting a lot of crashes in source games (sound loops w/ freezing, nv4_dis something like that BSOD), and the DMMM that came w/ my GTS wont even run... looks pretty fon to.
EDIT: found it.. is it an actual nVidia driver? if so, why is 97.92 on their site?

    Get 97.95 from eVGA's forums.

Lmao...having different driver versions doesn't void your warranty...

the newest drivers are 97.94 mate try them
if u intend on overcloking u will need n-tune due to the temp vanishes in the nvida with coolbits 2.0

Why was this thread bumped? Anyway, see in the 180.48 version it states..

*Boosts performance in numerous 3D applications. The following are some examples of improvements measured with Release 180 WHQL drivers vs. Release 178 WHQL drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):

    • Up to 25% performance increase in Devil May Cry 4
    • Up to 38% performance increase in Far Cry 2
    • Up to 18% performance increase in Race Driver: GRID
    • Up to 80% performance increase in Lost Planet: Colonies
    • Up to 18% performance increase in World of Conflict

I just HOPE that the next WHQL release gives us at least a 38% performance increase for GTA IV, i just can't understand how i can run Far Cry 2 at reasonably good settings that looks FAR better than what i CAN'T run with GTA IV on Safe Mode (ie. lowest possible settings, but i up the resolution to take the strain off the CPU, but it doesn't help much).

Well, in the spirit of someone looking around for this information still, I'd say the 181's are happily working with my two 8800GTS's.
