hi was thinking of upgrading my bfg 8800GT card to a 4870 512MB one would i see a big difference in games like cod4, cod5? crysis was thinking off getting the 1GB version but its like 60 quid dearer read posts saying it would only be good for big monitors with high res im on a 22" 1680x1050 so do u think the 512mb would be good enough and would it blow the socks off my 8800GT? thanks :)

You would see a jump of about roughly 50-60% in most games.
I suggest u keep the 8800GT and use it for PhysX.Its a Gr8 card for PhysX.

Goto the PhysX Guru3D forum and see my performance analysis there.

:nerd:I went from a 8800GTX to a 4870 512Mb Visiontek and could not be more happy, very nice boost in performance...I run it on a 24" LCD at 1920x1200 and my games never miss a beat, Crysis, Bioshock, Grid, all run smoothly...
