Hi, here are my specs: AMD X2 6000+ FSB 214 with 15x multiplier running at 3.2Ghz 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM EVGA 260GTX 216 superclocked edition 650 watt power supply with 44 amps on 12V Vista 64bit Now my question is, I run 3dMark06 and I score like 11,500....Is that normal? I was thinking it was my cpu being a bottleneck but want to confirm that my score is normal... Thank you
hell no you should have 20,000 with that system,.. what'd you do!!? hahah, j/k thats normal. if you use the compare chart with other am2 systems at similar clocks youll see 10,500-12,000 is normal. but as long as your games and videos play well thats all that matters.
Lol...you scared me for a second...O.K. Well I am playing Fallout 3 at 1680x1050 with high settings and runs at 60fps and drops to 40's every now and then...so thats good performance wouldnt you say? so I should not worry about my 3dMark06 score being 11,500...I figured it was cpu bound because going from my 8800gt to a 9800gtx to this new 260, i barely see a 3dmark06 score improvement. So nothing to worry about guys?
dude dump that AMD! get Intel and UNLEASH THE BAD A**S GPU I have 2 9600gts and im getting over 16000 in 3damrk 06 with one card I got over 12000. You would be getting 80-100 fps in fallout at those same settings. Whats your other specs mobo...
Your cpu is being a bottleneck for sure.I have an Intel Q6600 and GTX260 192 overclocked and i am getting around 17000 in 3dmark 06.If you look at the benchmark section you will get an idea of how much of a bottleneck your cpu is.
