i would save another 70 bucks and buy the 8800gts 640mb, a little bit more bang for the buck, but otherwise go with the 8800gts it will serve you well for most older games, the new stuff well you can always try.

I say the 8800gt. 3850 is okay, but not the greatest. For a budget gpu though for today, it's a great value gpu.

Get a G92 512mb card for like $100 on newegg. Both of those cards are a good bit slower than the G92 cards (9800GT/GTX and 8800GT/GTS 512)

I'm getting a deal from my sis's BF and its between those to. I'm gonna end up getting the 8800gts, I think it will perform better from what i gathered.
Also the 3850 seems to have alot of negative feedback or alot of people arent so happy with their cards from reading some search results.

3850 is more a mid-range card than a high-end card. The G80 based 8800GTS is closer to the 3870 in regard to performance than it is the 3850...though in most games I believe it tends to perform a reasonable amount better.

The 320 version is comparable to the 3850, the 640 is as fast as the 3870.

It was those exact cards linked, but they were used. I used the links as a reference to show the specs on them.
