You know in every family their is this one kid that is a little strange That thesis you can apply to a new monitor from Samsung. Samsung presented its new 23 2342BWX LCD display in South-Korea. The... More...
A bit strange indeed, but for 230 Euros and 2048 x 1152 on a 23'' monitor, something worth to think about...
damn...i hope this reaches my country soon, cause in 2 weeks i'm getting a new monitor....this would be so great..
hell ya.. spend the extra 80 bucks and get that.. will be nice if it supports 1920/1080 too.. for the movies and such
What would it matter if it supports a movie's native resolution, it would just scale it. But the pixel pitch on that thing would be eye straining.
thats a horrible resolution.. why dont they stick to standards?! id recommend a 40inch HDTV with 1920*1080 and above! HDTVs can be baught for cheap now so no excuses
Wonder how much it does suck. 230 Euros for 2048*1152 23" monitor, must be something wrong with it. If it ends up being good monitor, I'll buy one (or two).
While HDTV's look great, and for the price you get a good IPS screen, they have HUUUGGEEEE input lag, meaning you wont be able to play FPS games comfortably, i have a 46" 120HZ Samsung, it plays sports games very nicely, but when i play FPS games, there is huge noticeable input lag, TN is still the best for FPS games.
Dell are doing pretty much a mimic of this: http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/09/purported-dell-23-inch-sp2309-lcd-monitor-leaked-tasty-specs-an/
Samsung FTW..i'll definitely watch a review on this one, hope it ain't a pos...cause it will be great playing a game in that resolution, of course after i change my video card..
I've never ever seen input lag on my 32" Viewsonic N3260W... and i've been using it as a monitor for over a year and a half. And yes, i play mostly FPS games, coming from a 17" 4:3 LCD
