I checked the Sapphire website this morning and saw there was a updated bios for the newly released Radeon HD 4670.The link is here->http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/support/drivers.php question i have is could someone help me with installing this bios i see the file includes atiflash in with it.this is what is listed next to the file P/N:188-0BE88-001SA;SKU#11138-00 ONLY(Please update under DOS prompt and type command:F BE8801SA.017.Could someone give me a quick rundown on how i run this using atiflash. And what exactly they mean by the statement above.Hopefully this thread will help other sapphire hd 4670 owners not knowing about the new bios.Thank you for your time:)

It only applies to the Sapphire HD 4670 512mb GDDR3.Sapphire was even specific on the PN 188-0BE88-001SA SKU#11138-00-20.From what i saw when i flashed it the ssid changed as well as going from RV730 to RV730XT.They were not specific on what exactly was included in the update. But the bios is dated 9/12/08 and the original one on my card was 8/20/08.

evo did you receive my PM? Didn't get an email from you so I was just wondering.

I emailed Sapphire about why the Bios was removed but haven't received a response yet.

does anone know if this flashi of the GPU bios can be done through MS-DOS prompt?

I know the manual says pure DOS mode, but I can't get into pure dos mode as I have Vista, and no Floppy drive.

Anyone know another way to get into DOS without using a flopy and with a RAID setup?

    :bang:

Could I ask anyone here that has the latest bios to upload a copy so I could get it or just email it whatever is easiest.

I had posted a thread to do with a couple of concerns with my card and would like to give the new bios a shot.

    Thanks in advance.

If someone with the bios could please upload it somewhere I would be very happy. :)

It's still missing from Sapphires site and I really need it. The original bios doesn't play nice with RBE.
