just to add this game is LOT faster in DX10 than in DX9... some ~20-25%
for me very high settings in 1680*1050 gave me 52fps in dx10 and 44fps in dx9 no AA
4x AA hit on 8800GT is big more than 20%

What I would like to know is if PhysX works on GPU with GTX280 in FarCry2, and if it gives any benefits in terms of performance/visuals.
A seperate test with a few NV cards would be sweet...

thats why im asking for benches

ty for the guy who said, seems that i will have to install vista if XP cant handle it

So does Far Cry 2 support SLI rigs? Far Cry isnt on www.slizone.com's list of supported titles. Thanks!

personally i've been using 8.9 official because i found them to have better IQ and a slightly lower performance than 8.10, suppose 8.9 should work with FarCry2 when i receive it tomorrow? or do i need the 8.10+hotfix? (id rather not). :3eyes:

I love how the GTX performs in these benchies.. even at 1900x1200.. what a performance! Not necessarily shocked by that, but just happy about it :)

Interested to see how it handles gameplay. Wasn't the hugest fan of Far Cry, but this game looks like they made some nice upgrades

May I ask why is the nForce 680i used throughout every recent hardware review/benchmark?

Ya thats whats got me worried, so can anyone confirm that its a GX2 only issue ? Anyone playing FarCry 2 sli with something other then gx2 and can report back on performance and scaling?

I don't see how. My 9800GTX and HD4850 setups both performed worse than this. I've got a faster processor too.

The 9800 GX2 is known to have problems with Far Cry 2.

Have a look here, regarding SLI being utilized and faster:
