After playing some games, I'd say :

    178.15>180.10>178.24

    I've better ips with 178.15 :)

180.10 are great, but they have some major gaming glitches. Be it artifacts, shadow bugs, etc. I'd just stick with 178.24 WHQL for now.

Although when the 180.xx series drivers are finalized, I see very good things happening.

    Hi,

I personally wouldn't try the 180.10 drivers since they are a Quadro driver with modified .inf's.

You can tell this by looking at the files which are extracted. For example, nvwsapps.xml, this is similar to nvapps.xml profiles, but is used to store profiles for Workstation applications etc.

The only people that should be even answering his question are those using Vista 64bit... The 180.10's are only made for them anyway not to mention the only ones also answering should be on Vista 64bit and the listed cards supported without using a modded file cause its obvious to see that Nvidia intends to only support the current 9series and up to work with this new "Big BangII" setup or SLI and dual monitors and so on.

What makes you think that? My 8800GTS's (Hell G80 Core even) work fine with Dual Monitors and SLI, why wouldn't they include support for them?

Back to the main point though, personally I'd only use the 180.10 if you plan on using dual monitors, i get weird shadow bugs in some games (CS:S) that i didn't have in the other drivers.

Because the drivers weren't originally supported to use with that card...thats why. If it works great! But if I was nvidia I wouldn't back step..I'd support whats currently new such as the 9series and up. This pushes new sales of these cards and increases $$$ in their pockets.

Yes, but they're not even officially released yet, 8 series support may be added by the time they are.

I'd actually be more surprised if they aren't.

nVidia seem to be holding on to the 8 series :) and why not.
When you look at the older cards that are still supported then the 8 series seem new age.
