    Heeeeeeeelp

I am one of those who got that supposedly bad bios on my sapphire HD4870 so i went to sapphire's site and downloaded the new bios. followed the instructions and everything went great.
BUT when i start in windows the system reboots as soon as CCC loads up.
If i start in safemode and turn off CCC the system works just fine but it reboots as soon as i start CCC???????

My card is watercooled. Is it something with the fan control thingy or?

please help. need the new bios so i can get rid of random freezing with current bios.

You should be able to go into 'safe mode' and re-install the default bios.

What is wrong with the original bios and what does the new bios do?

the old bios does some random freezes ingame. there are tons of threads about it on the HD48xx series on the internet. sapphire made some bios update to fix the problem.

Maybe the new bios doesnt work because the fan isnt on the card since my card is watercooled.

Not everyone was experiencing these freezeups AFAIK. Were you? The major change was in the fan settings (there are less risky and simpler solutions IMHO), which is moot if you are on watercooling.

I am experiencing freezups but not very much. I have now downclocked the memory and overclocked the core. and it seems to be running fine, not sure yet.

Freezeups again. I assembled the card with the stock cooler and fan and with old bios it freezes after bios update it works just fine. So maybe i cant watercool my card then :(
