alxtorrentazos' Cryengine tests are very much in line with my own tests with UT3 on my XP machine. To compare in a similar format:

174.74
Framerate [ Avg: 69.52 %>30fps: 90.42 ]

177.83
Framerate [ Avg: 67.84 %>30fps: 91.29 ]

178.13
Framerate [ Avg: 67.40 %>30fps: 90.63]

I did see some occasional slowdowns, but no more than I have come to expect from time to time on my aging system. My 7950's don't support physX, but it's an interesting comparison! Keep the benchmarks coming, guys.

 

Sorry, I forgot to update that spec (not using that forum skin). I'm solely on Vista 32 right now.

 

Running Windows XP Home SP3 and the DV will only work in 1/3 increments, also i have to reset the SLI config for each app that I use it for after reboot, which wasn't the case with the 177.98's, but the DV was not working properly as well with that set.

These are stable like the 177.98's for me and others reported that the 177.92's were stable, but not in my case. So for now these are keepers, with good IQ and FPS with COD4, Race '07, GTR2, GTL, F.E.A.R.,TDU, TF, Crysis Warhead and R.O.

just did a fresh install vista 64
best way to install? Just load into windows and run run the exe?
I've read it doesn't work in safemode right
this driver set has the physx drivers included right

which is why i prefer more performance and less overhead by using XP at least for now on both of my rigs.

These drivers are fantastic for Warhammer Online. They cleaned up a lot of the intermittent studder.

did anyone else notice the color changed with HDMI?
178.13 looks sorta faded. looks ok after adjusting in cp but still not quite as good as 177.83
vga looks the same.

 

I installed new driver from Nvidia(178.13) When I want play some game.
I can see only black screen or black lines.

Can you help me. Plz

In case this happens in more than just one game and with a different driver, too, I'd say that this is either an overheating card (use GPU-Z to check your card's temperatures and fan speed), or a failing/dying card.

I do the same for gaming. XP is still the "way is meant to be played".

 

Slags EQ2. Sticking with 175.31 which are the most stable and best performing to date, for my setup. /shrug Noticed absolutely no difference in WAR or AOC with 178.13 vs. 175.31 -- just passing it along. Kudos to those who see improvements.

 

Oke maybe I am very stupid, but I'm gonna ask anyway, isn't physix supposed to improve your 3dmark cpu score by quite a lot?? I installed the drivers but I see hardly any change. I'm using a 8800GTS G80

I have problems with this in every game(Black lines,Missing parts,I can make only few steps,then something is blocking up me ) (178.13)

With previous driver, I had no problems(175.19)

what the helll went wrong with this release, i tried to load 2142 and the menus are fine, as soon as you go in game everythings totally corrupt like my cards on its way out, BF2 had the black texture bug..

this was a proper install using driver sweeper and making sure no leftovers were there before installing this release..

put the old beta's back on and all is fine !
