Maybe it's not important, but this is the first release since 8.3 that runs ati official 10.1 demo without graphic glitches for me.
I'm trying call of juarez benchmark that had similar artifacts to see

These are ok drivers but they drop performance a lot for me in TF2 i was getting over 100fps most of the time now I am getting 40's minimum!!! which is ridiculous for my card. I am going back to the 8.8 beta's

CCC dose not start up anymore. :puke2:

Did a upgrade in first place and then removed with Driver Sweeper completely, install again - no luck

    ACElog reports:

    Edit:

After I repaired .net 3.5, I removed driver trough ATI uninstall. Reboot and installed CCC driver again. Now the ATI tray icon appears and CCC starts :)

    Stupid .net :biggun: crap!

Driver seems stable.... On another note: How hard would it have been for AMD/ATI to up the fan speed in this "new" driver?

This driver is totally crap for me. It didn't like my modified bios at all.
Even an increased vGPU in bios does not work as the screen goes weird at windows loading. :puke2:

Back to 8.7 as it works with any of my modifications.

ATI / uninstalled 8.8 drivers and files , installed 8.9 package , loaded fan speed profiles and 8.9 is running smooth as silk , need GPU-Z to keep up , ( 8.9 are not supported as of yet ) way off on gpu clock & bandwith readings , not ATI 's fault , 8.9 drivers are running fine with no noticeable difference from 8.8 for me as of yet , would like to see ATI come up with a fan adjustment for CCC and also higher clock settings ! , that's my report ( v-tek 4870 @ 790/1100 )

Ummm... don't you mean 9.0 beta? 8.10 is going backwards lol.

I love this driver/catalyst. It ended my crashes in Assassin's Creed.

ATI's naming scheme comes from the month and year the driver is released in. So, 8.9 is 2008/September. 8.10 would be 2008/October and so on.

They did. I noticed when I went to create profiles to set fan speed after 8.9 install that instead of default at 27 it was at 31. So it looked to me that they had responded. I did not bother to check if the 3D speed had been changed I just hacked it to what I wanted.

On another note, I am getting absolutely bazarre gpu activity readings in CCC but everything is working great so I am not really concerned. I am amused that they would realease drivers without seeing that. Mine will read 257% sometimes and 47% at idle sometimes. Not really a big deal. Kind of funny actually.

Same here. Had one reading at 548% and my idle temp was like 78c. Opened/closed tw2008 and all was good again. Went back to the 8.52.2 cats. Only ones beside the sapphire ones on the cd that I haven't had the idle bug.
