i cant say XP cause i had to reinstall it way too many times. it always lost that fresh install feel to it very quickly. didnt take much to cause boot problems, malware out the yang and vulnerable to bout anything. to be safe you had to disconnect from net jjust to install till you had a firewall in it out of box it was crap. alot of 3rd party software to really have it in shape. i've never seen a multi-year same install of XP that was fast as it should, had everything working or didnt have some kind of odd malware caused occurance. but thats just me
I dual boot XP Pro 32 bit and Vista Business 64 bit on my main rig. But, on my laptop, I use Vista Business 64 bit exclusively. I love Vista 64, I only use XP for Photoshop.
in vista 64-bit? It isn't supported in 64-bit and apparently never will be til the next version comes out
Odd, my father was running CS2 just fine not too long ago in Vista 64... Anyway, I've had XP off for about six months or so now and hadn't really touched it for the six months before that. Been running Vista 64-bit just fine and find it interacts with my home network (which includes OSX and Linux machines) far better than XP ever did. I mean, I got it to work with XP but it was an absolute pain while Vista detected the other systems (and was detected by the other systems) instantly.
Vista Ultimate 32-bit here......once i made the switch, i swore i'd never go back to XP again....i just cant stand XP's default crappy GUI (no offense meant there for XP users)
I use Dual-boot WindowsXP Prs SP2 x32 and Vista x64. XP is my main OS. I installed Vista64 only for some DX10 games.
You forgot to put Dual boot between OS X & XP, OS X & Vista x64, OS X & Linux, Windows (any version) & Linux. There is more then one operating system.
Jumped from XP recently I tell u it's worth the effort Vista Ultimate x32 (Hell faster than XP):banana::banana: Windows Experience Index Score> 4.8 beacuse of old GFX:biggun:
I voted for Windows XP but I installed Vista Home Premium a couple of days ago and I'm not going back. After all the tweaking, it runs alot better than XP did.
I've chosen to stick with XP-32 bit because it's fast and stable, and does what I need. I still use win2kpro on my older machines.
