Ray. here's the temperature comparison you were after with the newer beta version of ATT.

The ambient temperature is a little higher today so my GPU temperatures are a higher. This explains the 'jumping' around of the fan.

    Hi!

    ATT v1.5.9.1298

    ATI driver v8.9

After restart my computer ATT tray icon say: card run under 3D mode (625/1000).

Wait...wait...after 5 min ATT icon says: 3D mode (625/1000)... wait wait... ATT icon says: 3D mode (625/1000)...

Any wrong... GPU-Z run. Started  GPU-Z say: card run under 2D mode (500/750) lol. Everest says too this. ATT icon says 3D mode (625/1000). ATT monitoring graph say: 2D mode (500/750)...
Shortly: ATT tray icon freq info is bad.

    2D: GPU-Z-ATT equal (dispio/memio/shadercore)
    3D: - not tested -
    3D full load: GPU-Z-ATT equal (dispio/memio/shadercore)

equal: equal, but 0,5C - 1C - 1,5C different possible in short time. This is not problem, because temperature change is very often.

Important: in GPU-Z continue refreshing this screen while gpu-z in the backgroung checkbox MUST BE CHECKED.

Tray icon show bad temperature, example 52C, but GPU real temp is 72 I see in grapf monitor and I see in GPU-Z.

Flashosd: I see ":" again, thx. But Application memory usage (SMU) is missing. I need this information.
And pls "GPU t" -> "GPUt" or "GPU_t".
    Too pls "GPU %" -> "GPU%" or "GPU_%"

    Thx.

BSOD just from ATT? Cool! :) I checked the code by given address. Its just procedure which should return total count of monitoring sources nothing else.

Can you open Monitoring Graphs and click on Add button?

no, wait... the exception wasn't a BSOD... I just loaded atitray.exe within windbg and the debugger intercepted the exception, then I typed !analyze -v in the debugger

I can access the Monitoring Graphs, but when I click the Add button, the same exception occurs (access violation at address 0054112A in module 'atitray.exe'. read of address 00000000.). After I close the exception window, the Add Monitor window appears.

I can make the minidump when windbg intercepts the exception

I upgraded to the latest ATT and Catalyst 8.9, and there are no problems after testing with Crysis and 3DMark06. In case there are people waiting for others testing :) Compared to Catalyst 8.8, 3DMark06 score was 5% lower and Crysis was 1fps faster. I will take the Crysis score :biggun:

No needs. I already know the place of exception, but it is impossible exception :)
Can you give me SysInfo report from ATT?
Also please check that you didn't disable overclocking in atitray.ini!

Also tested. 2006 and Vantage low score. Crysis 64 bit lost 3-5 FPS in min/max/avg in benchmark :(

With newest ATI 8.9's(driver only) i got my lost Mark'06 points back at last. Now i'm back in 15.95-16K level where i should be.

I still use 1.58.75 ATT, it works and i have to use two displays(Big LCD-tv is for race sims), so newer ones could be bad choice for me.

Is there way to get scaling options in display settings to work in ATT?

ok guys, quick question (I've look thru this thread but I'm yet to find a definite answer) :
what is the default voltage of a 4850
what is the max voltage (as in safe) for a 4850 Golden Sample?

Dump your bios and RBE will tell you. 1.158v is max. never heard of a golden sample before.

Look in SysInfo report in OverDrive section. ATT allow only safe voltages reported by drivers.

I experience sudden crashes of Flatout UC,
    ATT ver. 1299.
It only helps to put *.exe to the autooveclocking exception list, but in this case there is no FPS indicator.
I thought it was fixed in ver after 127x.
    What am I doing wrong?
