Your selected memory looks fine, but I'd really get off the AMD boat at this time if you are upgrading.

Get a 2x2GB kit and a 9800GTX+ and you'll be set to go. Also are you going to multitask or just gaming?

    I am getting 2x 2gig ram - what is the difference between a 9800 gtx+ and a 9800 gtx?
I'm a graphic designer so i'll be using the rig for gamen (70%) and Photoshop/INdesign/Illustrator/Flash/html (30%) - have a work pc but it's a labtop.

The rig has to be a solid gaming platform without spending more than the misses allows :)

9800GTX = 65nm GPU and 9800GTX+ = 55nm GPU + Factory overclock GPU to 738 Mhz. GTX+ is also cheaper than regular GTX because of smaller manufacturing process. There's no reason to take 9800GTX when you get better and faster card cheaper.. the 9800GTX+. If you're graphics designer, you will probably use heavily on programs that use multiple threads or benefit them. Then Quadcore is way to go.

ok - cheers. The GTX+ is actually around the same price here in Sweeden, even a bit more (but just a bit)
