These are supposed to have major Crossfire enhancements.
Obviously I cannot test these, but just saw this at VR Zone

That is really fast, only 2 weeks after the official 8.7 release and they seem to have working 8.8s already. Not sure what to think of that...

 

omg im trying these out,thank god i swapped over from Nvidia

 

it makes me think that they are rushing to fully optimize the new 4800 series of cards cause they **** it up in 8.7..

 

there is all ways a ****ing moron that has no prof of his claims,but has to say it anyway.

pls give us prof as to how ati ****ed up 4800 series with 8.7

 

Is there any benchmark or experience with single 4800 cards?
What is the driver date? (because official 8.7 was 18 days old when relesed with it's WHQL stamp...)

8.7 works fine for me, so what are you referring to?

 

It seems to me that the driver version numbers in your screenshot are exactly the same as in the leaked 8.7 beta driver, see this post.

100 points down for me wiht the 8.8 beta drivers under XP.

That means nothing, do some real world game testing instead. 3dmark says nothing, those 100p you could loose using same driver between 2 tests. So test some games please, and are they stable??

 

Those are 8.7's as well.

 

I dont care if they are called 8.7 or 8.8, the one thing that does intrest me is that the date is 22 July.
