I have recently bought a Audigy2 Sound Card, and I can see (hear?) the difference in both quality and performance in games, would have bought a X-Fi or a Xonar, if those were not extremely over-priced here in Brazil, and if I were not on a budget. That said, I would like to know how would performance be impacted if I enabled my OnBoard Sound Card, as I have disabled it, for the fear that it would cripple the performance (small) edge on games.

if you're using an audigy 2, keep the onboard sound disabled or else, your PC will use the onboard audio to output audio instead of your audigy 2. There's no point in buying an audigy 2 if you enable onboard audio.

Great, that's exactly what I was wandering, I mean, I really like my front panel audio, but it simply won't be worth it in this case.
