Hello everyone i have been reading in the forums here for a while but this my first post here:banana:

I ask for your opinion on upgrading my 8800gt 512 card as i'm very confused right now, my motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R that doesn't support SLI so i can't just add another 8800gt. so right now i'm stuck between two options

1- to get a motherboard that support SLI along with a new 8800gt.
2- to just get one card like HD4870 without changing my board.
what do you guys think would be the best possible upgrade for the money I'm looking to spend no more than 300$ in this upgrade so what do you think i should do.

Thanks in advance and please forgive my bad English.

    Thanks for the replay guys
even so the performance of 8800gt SLI beat a single 4870 at the same cost
should i really go with the 4870? i mean what will be the advantage?

    thanks in advance

less chance of things going wrong with one card

but where i am two 9600GT are cheaper and beats the 4870

so if i had an sli board then i get two 9600SLI

Your P35 chipset you have is more stable than the SLI chipsets you'd be looking at IMO. Plus with the 4870 you don't have the hassles of SLI.
