Will this bios work with any 4850 card. I have Sapphire 4850 and I flash it with ASUS bios! Now I am able to control fan but max core overclock I get is 670! Probably the problem is in core voltage! Do you think I can use you bios with my card and clock it further ? With manufacture card do you use this card with?

This bios working with any 4850 card. Voltage in this bios is 1.2v.
No modded bios give us 1.10-1.15v.

Anyone test this one yet?? I compared it to my other bios files for 4850 and it has some differences!!?

My Pin Number is : 113-b50102-103

    Modded bios p/n : 113-b50102-y06

    Image size is : 0xf400

    Image Size modbios: 0xf800

    My CRC is : 0x9400

    modded bios : 0xE00

This info is through ATIWinFlash. So because im still having some minor issues with my card I would try almost anything, but this bios is from someone I dont know so if someone has positive results after testing it please post. And post also how and why you did it!? :) Thx.

Ps. The other bios files I have from M V K Tech are from other vendors than Sapphire, but are I dentical on the above mentioned numbers. This is why im asking?!

I try to flash my card with this bios with ATIWINFLASH2021 but the program crash my computer. Hopefully the card was not affected and I boot with a relief!!!

Interesting. Probably not a good idea with the stock cooler then.

My memory certainly fails at 1100Mhz, does the firmware up the vMem too?

Edit: Tried to open the bios in the first post with Radeon bios tuner 1.11 (RBE) and it didn't work.

Edit2: And now it did.. odd

Hmm ok just recieved my DuOrb cooler and now im looking to overclock some more. I can easily get to 700mhz core clock, and 1050mhz ram clock but the ram refuses to function properly at anything above 1075. Also when i am running at 700mhz core i get an error after like 10 mins that the display driver crashed and recovered from an error. What causes this? Will using this modified bios let me avoid driver failures and possibly oc the mem more? Btw idle temps of 36C and load of 51C. No overheating...

No i dont think so, the drivers for hd4000 series are still broken. I have the same issue and im not even OC'ing the card yet. So the display driver error is something we have to live with until ATI fixes it. But im not 100% sure its ATI's fault, because this exact same error happens on some Nvidia cards as well. Could be microsoft that has to fix this?? Hard to say.

Ah well it never happened when i wasnt overclocking the card. I never had any issues. It cant hurt to try to use a modified bios i guess. Im thinking of just using a moded bios created with RBE v1.11 and setting the voltages to 1.2 volts and a clock of 700-710mhz. My memory really cant do more ( :( ) so i guess ill leave it at 1050. What program to use to flash the bios? i Heard one of them causes errors.
