My 8800GTX work fine with driver 175.16 and all game that support PhysX run great...Oh forgot i have a BFG PhysX card...sorry..heheheh well its good that nvidia have the GPU do physis but i think its going to be slow at high physis cause even with a physis card at high and very high setting i drop about 10 FPS cuz the more eye candy the more the video card have to draw...

Just download the drivers and a modded inf and then install it along with the latest nvidia physx drivers and it should work, all the files are floating around in this thread.

No mate, no grudge against Nvidia, my cards for last 5 years have been solely Nvidia. Just expressing my views about shady business practices. I think Futuremark will support Physx but they will have to do it some other way so that the Vantage scores maintain a sense of credibility across the board. In its present form it does not. We shall just have to wait and see.

Ok can someone else confirm my finding.

I am running the latest PhysX driver from Nvidia website (8.4 i think)

I am also running 177.35 modified driver for my 8800GTX.

I can run all the PhysX demos, they all seem very fast and smooth to me.

Ive also run UT3 with PhysX enabled and it seems to be smoother and faster.

Is the GPU doing the PhysX or is it my CPU? It just seems really fast to me thats all.

And many people are saying that this is only for G92-core and not the G80 core, I thought that all 8 series cards could do PhysX? It just seems to be working for me.

Can anybody test to see if blu-ray playback still works under these drivers?

Im not too sure here but could anyone clarify if this is normal:

im sure that before i used the 177.35/177.39 drivers on my system there was always an amount for system video memory or shared system memory now it says zero for both and i cant remember if its always been that way.

compared to the 7516 inf file in the new one only has a few new lines, but a bunch missing.

    most importantly

    nvcuda.dll = 1
    and
    nvcuda.dll,,,0x00004000

    PhysX 8.06.12 is mandatory!
Actually they updated only the control panel.
From my understanding the CPL checks the GPU:
    10001C21 push offset aNvcuda_dll ; "nvcuda.dll"
10001C42 push offset aCudevicegetnam ; "cuDeviceGetName"
and then determines the PhysX core path.
Looks like NVIDIA just wants to push their current products...

Drop 700 points in 3dmark 2006 from 177.35 with physx active.

I don't test with Vantage but seems games a little slow.

Back to 177.35 until games don't work with physx.
