Carl: after hearing about the force feedback strength of the G51 racing wheel.... i couldn't imagine using that thing on a glass desk.

paulonone: ............ when the hell was Maelstrom released? Remember seeing a video about it a while ago.... seemed kinda neat.... but don't remember ever seeing anything about it coming out.

Hi, i've bought the game very cheap to a friend of mine, but gamespot says Feb 2007. It has a poor score, but i don't think it's that bad. Here a nice video:

haha.... yeah. Really thinkin about getting one myself.... but honestly, i can't see myself buying one anytime soon since i don't really play racing games often. Plus there's stuff i'd rather buy instead of the wheel for $200+.

The speaker stand in the foreground was custom built by me a few years back. After buying the speakers, realizing I wanted them at ear level, and then cursing because the companies thought I would be stupid enough to pay $40 PER SPEAKER STAND, I just went to the hardware store, bought some supplies, and built my own. They're pretty sturdy, and I colored them black ;p

The Z5500 subwoofer on the left and my old Creative Inspire 7.1 Sub next to it, which serves a purpose much better than the mediocre sound it used to produce: a footrest! ;p Also, yes, smorgesboard of cables under there, but I disconnect things often so tying them up is tedious at best.

Horrendous cable management, but management with an Antec 900 is hard as it is.

It's not much, but it's my home away from home for college ;p I have a Wii and a PS2 in another room. The Vader picture is pretty much the only "cool" think I think I have ;p

I'd moved my PS3 and 360 to my desk area for 1080P gaming and movie goodness. The Z-5500 really kicks butts when it comes to gaming and movies, here's a pic of the revised setup plus a pic of my TRUE 120 Black -

    Shifted my TRUE 120 to my 2nd rig - Q6600/Asus P5W DH Deluxe/4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800/9600GT/X-Fi XM -

mikey: i like the look of the TRUE Black.... but i don't think i could justify spending $80 on an air cooler. At least tell me the base is a bit more finished than the awful reputation the original TRUE had with it's base.

LOL!:D Now that you guys have mentioned it, yeah, it does look like a dentist's chair......and those gimme the heebie-jeebies.:paranoid: No, those aren't transducers, those thingies at the back of the chair are for back/spinal support, to keep the spine straight while I'm on it. It's quite comfy actually, I'd lower the back support when I'm watching a movie......
The base is somewhat better than the original TRUE I'd gotten, I did not have it lapped but I did with the original TRUE. A bunch of us had gotten the TRUE 120 Black, and I recall one of them posting a pic of the base, you can see a reflection but it's definitely not mirror-like though.

Edit - Found a pic of the base for you, hope it helps you out -

yeah.... dunno if i could justify $80 on an air cooler.... although seeing as i'm gonna have to start saving for a car soon.... $100+ probably wouldn't be much better either.
