good score Grrr. now that will take some catching, yes these new chips are superb value for the performance i personally prefer the dual core to quad as they run cooler and clock higher and apart from 3d06 they don't make much difference to me as i don't do video encoding , and when you think you've got 4.3 ghz at only 1.45 volts from a cpu costing just over 100 quid and the qx9650 is over 500 quid and doesn't clock really any higher , you just get the cpu score boost in 06 there is really no comparison, well done mate

they are alright at www.over-clock.co.uk i have bought all my watercooling stuff from them apart from what i first got secondhand when i got my case , if it won't do it just add the pump and stuff individually off the individual pages , they are very helpful if you ring them as well, you could probably order over the phone if needed which case are you after , i have a mountain mods ufo which i have had about 3 years and its been brilliant case but they are about twice the size of a normal case ideal for watercooled setup and they sell them whatever you do don't get the all clear acrylic case they look nice at first but always look dusty inside every few weeks and are hard to keep clean inside and the wires always look a mess

its a nice looking case that, its a bit smaller in height than the v2k though is it, if you have a fan or 2 at the side of them they'll be ok, good build quality the lian cases, the silverstone is a good case for w/cooling also don't know what the model is i think mikemk has one

9.5 works i just still had it set at 9 in bios i reckon this cpu will be bench stable at 4800, the e8400 got to 4.6 but wouldn't go much above as said by yourself with 1.45 volts went to 4.3 but above that every jump needs more volts , amazing cpu though , but i think this e8500 is really going to fly , also with the e8500 both cores stay around the same when idle so might have a better contact on this one , re aquamark reality it will be quicker for you to disable sli on your ultras and run as single card , the scores are lower for sli than the single card , i reckon you'll get 250-260k , try it

still playing with it, its weird though it takes a lot less voltage than the e8400 but runs a lot hotter ,thought it was a bad mount but checked , can boot in at 4600 at 1.45 volts real (not stable though)

edit: after comparing with the e8400 i have the e8500 is 15 degrees hotter at same mhz and volts so something off here checked 3 times swapping cpus , to me it seems the cpus heatsink isn't making proper contact with the chips under it or might be a bios issue so put the e8400 back in for now

Roger that! My water rig now is a perta coolkit elite 2 (thinkg that is what they call it) D-Tek fusion, MCR 320, DDC 3.2 w/ Petra's top...
Loads 40, prime or occt 50 load, now brought core to 1.384 idle (1.40 bios), fsb to 1.40, and mcp tp 1.55.

I am happy and gona throw more at it and I am not pushing more then 1.45. Getting kinda late here so I think I don;t have much more tonight. Great little chip man!!!

90k on 01 not too shabby mate ,these cpus are a bit weird i'm not sure if its the motherboard or cpu but i can be stable in 3dmark then go up 1 or mhz in fsb and it won't even do superpi, still good though, they do get hot though even on watercooling, my next project is to see if i can get 3d stable at ddr2000 on ram
