Hey, just built my computer with an Intel E6850 clocked at 3.0G

When i check the processor info in PC Wizard, it tells me that the Frequency is at 2000MHz, but the Marketing frequency is set to 3000MHz.

Is there something wrong with this?

    its just sitting idle

cuz my sits @ 1200mhz even tho its Marketing frequency is 2200mhz

your cpu multi goes to 6x to save heat and power. When you need it 9x ie 3000Mz its auto. You can switch this off in the bios.

    Yap exactly like that ;) idle = 6x, load = 9x
