2 Ray - I think so, because 3850 BIOS ar locked at max 3D voltage at 1.214V

 

I have not done any extensive testing as yet.
But so far everything seems to be working.
Monitoring is fine. (Haven't tried setting anything)
Overclock seems to work. (though only one card)

I will try to do some more later. I don't really do much of it.
Only have cards because one was free, and had a AW8D-Max.

One question I have come up with in my short time at this.
Originally when I overclocked one of my cards, (9600XT, X1600Pro
or X1650XT), the GPU overclock seemed to make the most difference.
The overclocking of the memory, had little or no effect. With the
last couple of ATI updates, the memory seems to have a large effect.
And on occassion seems to OC way further the before.

Could the different tools, (or ATIs) be making a wrong accessment?
GPU/Memory reversed?

I just benched 3D01 Nature - GPU to 680 - little change.
Memory to 540 - 25 frame jump.

I just updated my both bioses. Now running "stock" 815/1180.

At the same time updated my older bios at my first card and the "fan problem" vent away.

 

Yes. ATT seems to work with the 2600s.

2 RAH - I din't know ATT works with 2600! But as I can see your 2600Pro has RV630 chip like used in HD 3xxx series. Thats why ATT works with that board

I have a question for Ray. In ATT are people supposed to enabled CCC mode switch in advanced tweaks?

I currently have this disabled so have seperate Direct3D and OpenGL settings, this means I can't use the different AA filters in OpenGL.

The only problem I have with CCC mode switch is from a guide on Guru3D where it states:

Enabling this setting causes the Direct3D and OpenGL sections of ATT to be merged into one '3D' section to emulate Catalyst Control Center behavior. Whether or not this setting should be enabled is a question of preference, though there is one drawback to enabling this which ought to be considered before switching to the merged 3D mode: If you set Catalyst AI to "Off" or "High" and/or you disable VPU Recover, they will be reverted back to their default values after the next reboot of your PC. Catalyst AI will return to "Low" and VPU Recover will be enabled again, but if you normally have Catalyst AI set to "Low" and don't mind VPU Recover being enabled, you can tick this setting to somewhat simplify your ATT interface.

Is this still the case that having CCC mode switch enabled will cause VPU recover to always be enabled and catalyst AI to reset to low every time I reboot?

I recommend you to enable CCC mode in ATT if you don't have CCC installed. And this is not for ATT but for driver itself!
And yes, in CCC mode driver will reset most 3d settings to their default states. This is most stupid behavior of Catalyst in CCC mode and I think its just to force users to install and use CCC, because CCC will set 3D settings after restart.

As I expected, there are no way to overclock both cards in CF
This C08003 is used in overclocking procedure and you can see that C08003 failed for other 3 adapters . Same as PowerPay .This can be only retrieved for primary adapter. I hope this is not bug in my informer , which prevent from collection information from second board!

BTW. Can you overclock your boards using CCC or AMDGpuTools?

 

Is there not a way to make ATT do something similar? Make it set the 3D settings after restart? I would find it annoying having to go back into ATT and set up the 3D settings every time I restart my computer.

 

ATT has ability to load 3D profiles via command line. You can make ATT to be loaded using StartUp and after that edit shortcut and add command line to load one of your profiles at start up.
Look in readme.htm for command line options.

Yes I can. Both work. CCC is actually a little better with the
flashed BIOS. AMDGPUTool better with original bios.
Limited by memory chips to 550/560.
I have had the GPU stable 750/760.

I am also CPU limited, as only have a 920 at best to put on board.
