We've seen the pics of the 9800GTX bare card, here are the first pics of the 9800GTX with all it's gear on, pity the specs. don't match the looks..........

Also benchmarks, granted it's only 3DMark 06 but at least it's an indicator of it's performance, albeit disappointing when an 8800Ultra scores better...............

Its not the super card every one was expecting but, i can make an educated guess that with the additional power being supplied to the card through the 6/8pin connectors, this shouldnt have too much trouble getting the core higer than is possible on the GTS's with heat being a limiting factor. I'll be interested to see what this is like when being properly OC'd by some real guru's. Chipsy you hearing :p

    Looks a nice cooler,
Shame itl all have to come off to suit watercooling eh:)

    Im keeping my 8800gtx then?

Well saving money cant be a bad thing i guess.

Soon be available i guess, maybe its just to replace the 8800 not beat it?:bang:

N00bst3r, look closer its 2*6 pin connectors:)

Lol so it is, but still being able to draw as much power as a GTX with the bonus of having a die shrink cant be bad.

thanks for sucking AMD. thanks to their bad business decisions we're paying for it with revamped 8800's over... and over... and over again.

I wonder if it runs cooler than the 8800gtx or if the overhead is used up with the increased performance (increased performance?).

    Theres nothing bad about it,

If your buying from new its great, but upgrading from an 8800gtx just aint worth it.

just wait for some real specs and real benchies it is ALL speculation at this point and TBH i dont want this card to be a killer just so i dont feel warranted to buy a new GPU and a lot of you people i think are doing the same badmouthing the new series

The pics of the card and specs. was taken from cebit 2008 so it's pretty safe to say that those are the real specs.

That looks like the worst nvida launch in long time.

I want see a bench betwen 8800 Ultra and 9800 to be sure but looks equal.

    THEN WHAT'S THE FUGGIN POINT????

Why even PUT THIS CARD OUT in the first place????

We already have the 8800GTS 512mb and the 8800GTX to choose from, why in the hell put this card out and pretend that it's the new high-end flagship when it's nothing but a repackaged 8800GTS 512mb?????
