http://www.computerbase.de/news/har...8/februar/benchmarks_bilder_geforce_9800_gx2/ Looks like NVIDIA fixed the bug that caused 9800 GX2 to perform worse than the 8800 Ultra in some cases. Let's see how it stands up to the HD 3870 X2
Here's an update with more games and resolutions http://pctuning.tyden.cz/index.php?...k=view&id=9959&Itemid=44&limit=1&limitstart=5 Edit: this might be the simulated version (with underclocked 8800gts' 512 sli) it's in czech so...
Wow its slightly better then an Ultra, looking at that i think i'll be skipping the G9 series card's...
Any post about any card that is not out is always stupid because until final production is done, nobody knows what core speed they are going to put on the thing
Second that! if not more improvement, I may wait til next gen or better version like the 8800 GTS 512 G92
two *800gt's is faster than the next generation *800gt's doesnt look good. it looks like two 8800gt's versus two 9600gt's 9700gt anyone?
I can sort of believe this, because drivers may not be prepared for it, but we shouldn't get our hopes up until the thing is actually released.
Well this is the reason I went with my HD 3870 X2. 9 series just seems to be filler untill G100. I love this ATI card, dont get me wrong but I have a great feeling about G100. I think ill be going back to Nvidia then.
Given that the other thread shows the msi 9800gx2 with a memory frequency of 1200 mhz ( it seems to be a non oc version), and these have it at 975 mhz, makes these benchmarks look even less convincing.
I don't run higher than 1680x1050 so it would be pointless for me to upgrade. I'd still rather have one 8800 ultra than any SLI setup..... But as people have pointed out these aren't exactly official....
