Seems low to me. I think my single 8800 GTS 320 was around 9k. I'm surprised by the two responses saying your CPU and VID are not OC'd. I doubt that is going to make the difference your looking for. Perhaps you have some other issues going on.
Seems like my old 640 gts done better than this...seems like it broke 10k. Its a dell so no OC on the cpu or ram. I will try some card overclock and a driver change...brb
9536 with a X2 5400 (stock) o'c your cpu and gpu edit: just noticed your psu is not up to snuff 450w@26amps you should have to be safe 400w@18amps may make your card run in a reduced performance mode
I didnt not change any settings. I done a slight oc/driver change and got about 40 more points. I only had 2 gigs of ram when I had that gts also?

Just noticed on the box it requires 26a with 400w..so i guess im a lil shy...that the culprit? Maybe if i get rif of that extra fan I can get a lil extra juice to the card.
in all honesty that isnt going to make much difference at all, on average a fan would only use around 0.2a your PSU has two 12v railed at 18a, not too sure if you can tell which line is which but try checking if the video card is sharing power with anything else, it should have a line of its own... but even 18a is a little short of what is required
The 3dmark 06 has the ability after you complete the tests to compare with other systems that are similar to yours. Why not use the built in function they provide to compare your score to others ?
Let me quote a customer review from that Newegg site: "Wasn't able to power my x1950gt without freezing or locking up. I know it was the PSU because when I used a stronger one, the problems went away." My money is on the PSU, but not quite sure.
The psu in question can provide 28 amps to the +12v rails and was being used to power a G80. The G92 uses quite a bit less power, let's look for another cause for the problem.
He doesn`t seem to be quite sure how he`d scored with his gts 640. Have you tried other benchmarks? You could try a pure CPU benchmark just to confirm that the CPU is doing ok. What`s your score in 3D mark 06 CPU test?
Less than 1 minute to find out he scored over 8100 with his stock G80 http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=234766
lol... yea i got a 9107 with the 640 gts. The pc runs great, I dont notice any performance issues.... what could be going on?
