Hi to everybody, i'm new. I have a brand new Sapphire 3870, and i miss so much Ati Tray Tool that i always used with my x1900xtx and before with my x1600pro. Any news about the new release for the 3870?
re I am in the same boat as you but for the time being use RivaTuner here is the link http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner I have the hd3850 and it works fine.
I use rivatiner too, but i prefere ATT. Rivatuner does not control dinamically the fan for this vga. I want ATT support!! :bang:
re If your talking about setting the fan speed to what you want the latest rivatuner works. I have mind set at 40% for 2d and 100% for games. Here is the link to my card http://www.hisdigital.com/html/iceq_3850.html
I'm talking about setting the fan dinamically, increasing cycle with temperature, not fixed as rivatuner can do.
With my crossfire I idle at 35-40 load 65-70 @49% fixed. I appreciate Riva only allows fixed, 25 50 75%, odd. And frank, 100% when 3d? I guess you live alone, or they are deaf? Lol, I swear my antec case wants to take off @ start up (fan at 100% 1 second)
re "I'm talking about setting the fan dinamically, increasing cycle with temperature, not fixed as rivatuner can do. " The latest version Riva tuner 2.06 will do that just fine.
re Damn thats funny has mine set Dynamically works great with my hd3850. Been that way since I installed it over a week ago.
Thank AMD for selling you a card with totally broken fan calibration in BIOS and fix it with BIOS update, emulate dynamic fan control at software level with programmable software thresholds technology, use search or finally send Ray a card to see it supported in ATI Tray Tools. ATI users a lot of ways to go instead of sitting and whining that it is broken in RivaTuner, ATITool and everywhere besides your card itself. P.S. Dynamically, btw.
Since the www.hwupgrade.it help for ATI Tray Tools thread is closed, I figured the next best alternative would be to use this thread for asking a few questions: 1.) This link may be of interest to Ray, regarding his purchase of an HD-3870. 2.) What will happen when ATI/AMD release the HD-4xxx series? Will the HD-3870 be enough for HD-4xxx support? Or will additional funding be needed for an HD-4k series card? Have you [Ray] considered contacting certain vendors (Sapphire, HIS, etc.) for their assistance in supplying to you, a sample HD-4k card upon release? I'm sure if you put their logo in ATT, it would motivate them to help you considering how popular ATT is. This thought was borrowed from Ourasi's post in the ATT beta thread. Cheers!
I don't think we will see it in next two months Who knows what ATI can do with new boards? Already. No success.
It works for me just configure your Rivatuner correct, you have to set some Advanced Tweaks before just google for guides. I wish I could use ATT for that, I donĀ“t like RivaTuner much
