like G80s are uber mate, they are true beasts, but i ain't expecting something special from the G90s, not that much, since the 9800GX2 is 30% than the 8800 Ultra, very shocking, 30% only? with 256 stream processors? stream processors my arse...

so i will wait for the G100 or add a 8800GTS for an SLI, hmm, yeap :D

mine is still quite simple since i just got into building my own computers,

    6800
    8800GTS 640mb

i'll probably upgrade when the g100 comes out along with the newest intel processors, for now i am just enjoying my current set up, coming from a p4@3.2ghz life is good,:)

Just talking nVidia cards ignoring everyting before that:

    Riva128
    TNT2
    GForce
    GFore3Ti500
    GForce4Ti4600
    Gforce 6800GT
    Gforce 8800GTX

Overclocked them all of course. Managed to skip the Gforce2 series, and the 7XXX series. I do have a cheap 7 series in the closet just to have a PCIe card to plug in if my 8800 goes down for some reason, but otherwise I have no use for the 7 series.

    Cheers,

    DJB

Just curious, but why would you go from a 7800GTX to a 7900GT? That's just a lateral move in the food chain. :3eyes:

It is, but it isn't if you think about it. If memory was keeping up with other hardware like hard drives or CPUs, we should have 512GB Video Cards. =D

My game rigs path has been:

    7600 GS - > 7900 GS -> 7900 GS Sli -> HD 2900 Pro -> HD 3850 CF

Now I was meaning to get 8800 GT instead HD 3850 CF, but card wasn't avaible anywhere and price I should have paid from then only 8800 GT availeble was almost as much as I paid two HD 3850 ( 9€ difference, Damn avaibility problem )

My Linux computer has used GF 7300 GT since day it was built.

Waiting to see comparisons of 3870X2 vs 9800GX2, I'll probably get whichever is more powerful, unless nvidia/amd release a proper 'new' chip before may.
