7600GS vs 6800GS (AGP) is it worth it?

i have a cheap offer for a 7600GS on AGP (65$).. i currently have a 512mb 6800GS (Palit Daytona). is the 7600GS better than the 6800GS? how much better if so?

 

Hardly any difference, with the 512mb on the 6800 your better off assuming thats a 256mb 7600.

 

Hardly any difference at all. The 7600 GT (note, not GS) can be found on eBay for a similar price, and it overclocks like mad. My gaming when switching from a 6800 GT to the 7600 GT was significantly improved, esp. due to the high overclock (710/825x2).

On AGP, tho, you can also buy an ATI 3850 from Sapphire if you feel your mobo/cpu are up to snuff. That card with a decent high-end AMD cpu can perform quite well.

how do u guys overclock this 7600gt agp so much?! i have club 3d 7600gt agp and i can hardly oc it, my mobo asrock 4coredual-sata2 and 1gb ddr1 333mhz....

 

Depends on brand of card, luck, tools (Rivatuner eg) and proper cooling.

 

Since when did that ATI Sapphire 3850 AGP go on sale? and who's carrying it?....

 

The 7600GS can potentially be overclocked to near-7600GT levels though.
