    Update

Yeah, the SMP Clients are still flaky.

How do you force an SMP Client to run on a Pentium 4 ?

    Folding@Home - On An Xbox !!

    Hello.

I'm about to start an experiment with FOlding@Home on my old Xbox. I've read that you just have to install Linux on the Xbox then install the Folding@Home Client.

It's probably not going to be as easy as it sounds but will be a good challenge. Plus, I can use the extra PPD.

I will report back with progress updates. :)

What does it mean when the ETA is "*Hung*" on a computer? It's logs show progress?

Thanks Aircool! It seems 95% of the time one of the 2500+'s is hung, but it does seem to finish the WU.

Oh, LarsJohnson and ArmoredGuns, I've got another instance of FAH working yesterday. I'll be looking to pass. :)

Sweet, those would be Q6600's, eh? ...Anyone know how the Phenoms fit in to the fold?

Actually, AirCool only runs one (1) Q6600 with multiple SMP Instances on it. And suprisingly, it completes them before the deadline is up with out any overclocking.

    So overall, Q6600 = Folding@Home rape.

Do you think you will pass me, mlmiller? :p I think not.

    Rearview Mirror

    XeonPower=ArmoredGuns eh?
Well it is yet to be seen, but Kakao stats say my added instance was enough to best your 24hr :)...that said my c2d has been around 64-66 deg C! That’s a little hotter then I want to 24/7 it at...e.g. that’s all I've got! I hope it’s enough!..unless...the wife’s laptop??
Just watch that rearview mirror, and enjoy it while it lasts!

EDIT: I'm formatting my new Celeron right now. It should be folding before the day is over! :)

    Folding@Home - Full Speed !!

    Hello.

I have put up a few more machines folding! :)

These are the machines I have folding:

    - Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz w/ 512MB RAM
    - AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.4GHz w/ 1024MB RAM
    - Intel Celeron 800MHz w/ 128MB RAM
    - Intel Celeron 1000MHz w/ 190MB RAM

All are running 24/7. LOL, doesn't run my bill up too much... :O

Also, I'm trying to get a E6300 folding which would be 24/7 if I can get heat issues worked out. And, my friend has a 1900GT and a Semperon 2800+ (Seperate PCs) which both run 24/7 and I'm trying to get them folding. :)

double_cut - Why have you stopped folding? :(

Asterx - Have you put dual instances back on your P4s ?

Keep it up team! Guru3D is pwning!! :pc1:

Man, the FAHWiki is lying. TRUST ME AND AIRCOOL ON THIS OK. I got a HUGE PPD boost when I started using dual instances and I still turn in at-least one WU a day just from four machines and the Celerons aren't very powerful. Why would Intel have made the Core Hyperthreaded and advertised that it will use multiple threaded applications if it couldn't handle them? No, it will not finish Work Units as fast, but you will get more points in the long run, and that's what matters most.

Sorry for caps, I don't want to use the bold and stuff lol... I'm lazy. :O

I never though of running two instances of f@h, I'll give it a go and see how many more wu's i can finish a day.
