Have you gone through your bios to make sure you don't have the ram set at ddr2 533 or something like that?
Yep - Iv'e checked the bios setting, its at ddr800. As for 3DMark, I run it at default. <since I can't change it since its the free version>.... Here's my info... Does this all look correct ??????
overclock higher (CPU) http://www.hwbot.org/searchResults....nCpuFreq=&maxCpuFreq=&system=&minTotalPoints=
Install the Hotfix for 3DMark®06/05/03 and PCMark®05 http://www.futuremark.com/download/hotfix_oct07/
Finally!! found the problem! My hyperthreading was set to 1x for some odd reason instead of 5x... AND I turned OFF the NVIDIA GPU EX setting in the bios. Result: amdx2 5600 OC'd to: 3.0ghz 8800gt OC'd to: 700/1700/990 3DMark05: 15631 cpu: 7475 3DMark06: 10292 cpu: 2335 sm2.0: 4859 sm3.0: 4655 Now I'm wondering just how far I can up the clock on my CPU and GPU.
LOL Hypertrans.... Thanks for the correction LOL upped the CPU to 3.2ghz and GPU to 720/1730/2000 result: 3DMark05 @ 16384/8020 result: 3DMark06 @ 10756/2487--SM2.0=5113--SM3.0=4764 TEMPS CPU: Idle=29c Load=35c GPU: Idle=42c Load=66c ****NOTE**** Currently I'm using the onboard sound as my primary for audio. If I go back and reinstall my Xi-Fi Gamer card for my audio instead of the onboard sound; do you think it will increase my overall machine performance ? And, if so, how much do you think it would make a difference???
"urrently I'm using the onboard sound as my primary for audio. If I go back and reinstall my Xi-Fi Gamer card for my audio instead of the onboard sound; do you think it will increase my overall machine performance ? And, if so, how much do you think it would make a difference???" No it wont, but it will sound tons better!!
