in the versions before 169.21 there used to be a window like this:
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/video/p54936-2/th/ds_clrco.gif

you can activate it from NVIDIA control panel -> view -> show Notification tray icon -> then at the tray icon color correction.

in the new version 169.21 when i click on color correction it opens me another window and i don't know how to edit the values

i want to apply these settings:
    Brightness – 103%
    Digital Vibrance – Lowest Medium

Say what? "I" never use any driver cleaners and I rarely to literally never have any problems with any games. In the last month I have installed probably 10 drivers so far without issue(add/remove display driver/install new one). I also don't use 'bs' driver cleaners because overall that is what they are BS and they likely F'up your system more than you know.

Please though, tell me exactly how I can determine I have conflicts all over the place. If you can't then I would say 'you' obviously don't know what you are doing, much less 'saying'.

Right click your Desktop > Nvidia Display > select your Display, then Additional Properties Tab, then Colour Correction to bring that screen up. :)

Nope, you are not. Currently the only fix is to enable overscan compensation.

Note tho that on my machine the scaling reverts to "Use display.." as soon I watch a DVD or view a wmv and I have to reboot to be able to reset the scaling to "fixed".

I wonder what has caused the increase in size of the wHQL from the beta.
    WHQL are 5.6mb larger.

Worse performance in The Witcher with these.

Hoping for some new beta version from nVidia...

I just posted this in another thread:

why would drivers change from non-whql to whql?

nvidia submitted the 169.21 to MS for whql certification. They got the OK and whql stamp was added.

Do you think they're allow to get whql certification for a driver and then go and change something? No....

MS takes WHQL just a serious a NCAP do with cars. And you dont crashtest a car, change it and start selling! Cause then there wouldnt be any point to NCAP and same for WHQL.

YEP!!! I knew something wasn't right when I loaded up Half-Life 2: Episode 2, and it was much darker at the same settings I always use. Also it looked like the "bloom" effect was disabled. Unbelievable! It did in fact hurt performance too, right from the menu screen! And things seemed actually better with this driver in XP itself (desktop, window dragging, etc.). Oh well, back to what works. :bang:

Can anyone confirm that the driver gives worse performance in opengl games?

Don't eve work for me, my PC starts up, then the desktop loads, then no programs start up, the mouse won't move, then the screen goes black, then it comes on dark grey with white diagonal stripes, then I have to kill the power. I'm in Safemode atm. I used driver cleaner and the guru3d one aswell.
