    using the 93.81 drivers as suggested . and it is playable on his suggestions :) matter of fact , i had an issue with ATI HD2600 and returned it , put the 7600 back in my sons , and played it on my BFG 6800 GT OC 256 AGP played fine . might try the 169.04 drivers , as for overclocking , not into that anymore as i have done it with a 2100+ @ 2.3 gig ... using 64 3000+ now ... but thanks for the info

    in fact i'm using my 2500+ @ 3200+ without any problems and with a 1,7V approximately..i tried to raising the voltage up but it didn't help,i'll try lowering the fsb speed to default 2500+..but i don't really think that it'll help,too..i'll try the 169 drivers but not the beta one..

    Intresting I haven't played demo for some time but will try again some experiment to see if the stuttering or performance issue is there or not :rolleyes:

    I got the same problem and have got a 7600GS with the latest laptop drivers,no matter what resolution or setting I choose I get stuttering and hey call of duty 4 i found out now runs on my machine smooth! I guess it is ea's fault...Hopefully not a memory problem ala bf2 again.

    It ****s me these days..new games come out you buy it and they don't work this is now the 2nd game in 1 week that sucks balls. Like Colin Mcrea dirt and this game is the same **** bad coded i guess or something else...I want a fix and this asap !!!!

    I pay money for a game that isn't even polished..besides I can't wait till mafia 2 :)

    dudes i've found somethin..go to regedit then find this root;

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Need for Speed ProStreet

    then find this "g_PerformanceLevel"

    it must be 0..do that at least 2000..i've discovered this luckily and did it at first 1,then 10,then 50,then 1000,now its 2000 and the game is in the most playable time now :) try that..

    Does anyone maybe know to this stage if EA is coming up with a patch to fix this problems?

    I do not think it is a driver problem towards nvidia..If other games run for us well like for me,how could it be that the game runs so much like crap?

    It is just stupid since most wanted or really since carbon the nfs series just went down the road..I am still loving playing nfs underground 2...

    I hope they will release a patch soon to optimise our performance problems and get rid of it so WE ALL can play this game in the best possible way.

    Cheers

    son tried the game on an ati hd2600 256 agp . it ran better at higher settings then the nvidia card , but due to driver issues with ati and agp , i returned both those cards .. now the game plays fine on both machines with the 7600 gs oc and the 6800 gt oc :) ... !nfern0 - was curious if it was locked or not , i should of known the answer ... as for the regedit thing , i'll try it later , but i raised the settings and turned on smoke and it actually played alot better , just control on speed challenges are tough ...

    not sure what it did but i just score almost 4,000 on a single drift :)
    changed apg aperature to 256 in bios . settings - cars all set on high with smoke , world settings - fx high , lighting on , shadows low , detail high, advanced v sync off , AF on , AA off or 2x , tried 8 x and totaled my 65 gto ...
