It might be a single core issue. Does everyone here having the problem have single core intel's or AMD's ? (I do)

Very slow FPS and game stuck for seconds again and again. I can play any other game without a problem, but this! Anybody has a fix for this?

just gone from gainward 7900gs+ agp (24pipe version) low fps and laggy feel, very hard to complete the demo track!

Upgraded to gtx (couldn't resist current price of ocuk's own gtx) no problems at all! demo runs really well and the screen shaking + nitro boost is quite dramatic. with a control pad even using analogue its a bit of a twitch racer, not much subtlety. plus rear of your car in the demo seems to have a texture problem where the strips run down the back of the boot flash on and off.

    3dmark03
    15800+ 7900gs+
    33000+ 8800gtx

btw, amazing difference overall (but you all knew that anyway). cod4 looks awesome on gtx, very dramatic difference in look and playability!

At current prices I recommend the 8800gtx to anyone!

www.overclockers.co.uk (get ocuk version unless you want some games then get point of view version with moto gp3).

    cs:s at 100fps @ 1600x1200? get gtx

Even with my old 4200x2 its a very worthy upgrade :D

btw try 93.81 beta 2 DNA drivers, its more more stabile than 169.01

Ok this is what I discovered. I have 2GB of RAM. So when I start some race in nfsps I have about 15 fps and then I do few time alt+tab and looking for RAM consuption in task manager. When RAM consuption pass 1,2 or 1,3 GB and after few alt+tab exiting and back entering in game performance rise drastically and back to normal!!! And that is what I have to do every time I exit and entering the game. :)

Ok it's not matter od RAM :). Only thing that I need to do is alt+tab and exiting entering game 4 times! But this is only functional when race is in progress!
    Drivers are 169.09 beta!

Guys try the 169.04 drivers , I have finished the whole game 100% and i did not experience none of the slowdowns or issues on this whole tread playing at 1680/1050 all max settings, as I said before the game its very cpu dependant , overclock those cpus will help you , it helped me.
