on today after restart pc, I back to low performance! :( :(

well, most of people(including me) have problems with this game one way or another this game STUTTERING!!well, what i did was lowering the sound quality from the game and opening the VSYNC with the triple buffering and zeroing the Prerender Limit from the rivatuner..but still some laggings..i'll try an older and modded driver..

nfs-sp - 1280x1024@4xAA-16xAF (v-sync: on and off - same performance and triple buffer memory: on only) w/ all max setting:
menu main - 57fps (problem) and 91fps (normal - yesterday before restart)
    race day - 13-17fps and 29-35fps.
    race - min: 12fps and 20? fps.

I change from 3 to 0 (Prerender Limit - v-sync) in rivatuner but after run nfs I get crash fatal (blue screen) or freeze and loss driver. I back to change to 3 - Prerender Limit and run normal. I don't want downgrade driver.

If you're running everything on max I'd say the Physics used in the game with the mix of you having 2.8 Pentium 4 (yes pen D is pen 4 basically dual core) and onboard sound is not a good mix, you're already lacking cpu power, and having it run the sound in the game is just recipe for low fps.

I have only 1900XT 256mb but I have xi-fi sound card and 2.8ghz core2duo and I run NFS Pro street at 22-30 fps on average, sometimes 30fps+ in races at 1920x1080 4xAA, all other settings maxed out with no stuttering.

So I'd say its ur onboard audio + p4

    Anyone else?

dunno why everyone is moaning, even thought the same is badly coded I still get 60+ at 1280x1024

What do you really expect from a badly coded game. I mean the past 2 or 3 NFS games they were simply badly coded overall.

    it's maybe exact. ;)
onboard sound (soundmax HD) isn't important because I am mute.
I can uninstall driver sound and I will back to normal performance?

I've noticed a constant Hard Disk activity, while playing ProStreet on my rig.I believe your page-file needs a defrag. I would use Disktrix's UltimDefragger and place the the page file on the outer part of your drive, methinks this is a reason why the game does not keep a constant framerate on the same scene, before and after reboot.
Anyway, this is not a big deal and you don't have to switch drivers or anything.

I have this game currently loaded onto my Single core rig. with the 8800gt.

frames are between 14-28 and GOD its unplayabel, it chunges about every second,

I think it HATES single core cpus. my dual core rig isnt done yet. I also sold my others. so all i have now is the AMD 4000+ SD. tear.............

again im thinkign is a cpu heavy game. kinda like DiRT

15 fames a second is good compared to my 1-2 (guessing) on max settings, on lowest it is playable but at high speeds it stutters occasionally, but hopefully when I get my new system all that will change, Intel Core 2 Quad-Core 2.4Ghz, 8800GTX, 3GB ram, xi-fi sound. :p

:D :D the solution of problem is to change from chipset VIA (asus p5vdc-x) to INTEL (asus p5ld2-se)! :) after to change motherboard, I play back to normal performance!!!! :D ;)

    1280x1024@4xAA-16xAF in NFS ProStreet v1.0 o_O:
    main menu - 86 fps
    race day - 29-32 fps

I don't love the patch 1.1 by the limit only 30fps :flame: in race day and to play!!
other solutions are to update addon sound audiogy card and to update patch 1.1.
