i don't care if it fits in my case or not.I'm gonna cut my case in two just to put that baby in ...and what about two of these crossfired...man it's gonna be a blast!
what longer ... lol original 7950GX2 (prototype) or 3870 X2 also: ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 (R680) Pictured in CrossFire pic of some 3870's in Quad Crossfire X
the card looks sexy * drools * but still depends on the performance. Won't be nice if something like that loses out to the upcoming 8800GTS .
Isn't that the same sort of time frame for the new nVidia D9E part too. ATi really need to ensure that this is faster than that to ensure any sort of longevity for this part.
and then ull need a nuclear powerstation to power the pc,and also ull have a new free heating system for your house. u can also dry yout clothes behind it
if u noticed in the pics it only has 1 pci-e power connectoron the 3870x2 does this mean and only uses a maxium of 150watts. that would also mean that ATI have improved performance per watt again.
So mainstream users are going to spend £650 on 4 GPU's, a new PSU, and get a new case with uber cooling eh? Don't think so tbh, its a very sexy looking circus act though, and I'm sure the crossfire version will be temping Better though, great improvement from ATI this Autumn.
I'm waiting for the 9 series or the R700. It should blow all these cards coming out in the next couple months out of the water. Hopefully all of that will be out by March/April.
