1280x1024x32bit only? does that mean 32 bit OS only? I thoight it was the color depth. If so I'll rerun my score in XP 32. BTW what do you have to do to be listed in the stats on the first page?
    Thx

    1. no it meant desktop/monitor color depth
    like this:

, i guess warboy has a 15" monitor, re run it in 1280x1024 then post the result .....

    2. but ur better off running it in XP 32bit , or 64bit, cuz i got 2000 free points with everything at the same clocks, for SLI that is, i dont think single card matters much ....

Or, it could be the power of rendering a little more than half of the pixels as everyone else:

    1024 x 768 = 786,432 pixels
    1280 x 1024 = 1,310,720 pixels

    difference = 524,280 pixels

I totally understand that you may have no control over the res that the program runs but you do understand how this would be an unfair comparison, right? I am not trying to attack you at all, I am just trying to explain what theteamaqua was getting at with his quotation of the rules.

Anyway good luck on the new bios :)

Yea I realize Vista is gonna give me a crappy score but I have been working on tweaking the OS cause I want to use DX 10. I think I have it tweaked as much as I can to get the best score I can, Pretty much looks like win 2K the way I have disabled every thing. one site I have found that help tremendously was http://www.blackviper.com/index.html specifically this section http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/customREG.htm on editing the service registry. Just put a check in the box you want to have the service disabled, run or run manually and it creates a text file that you save as a reg file and all the services you want will start the way you want them. He has a section on all the OS's some where on the site. I'm not so worried about the best score I can get here as much as the best score I can get with the way I'm gonna use the computer. I installed OS with every thing except the video driver, made a Ghost image then tried every driver I could find to see which one gave me the best score. It was a lot of work but I think it was worth it. the problem is that every time a new Vista driver comes out, it is better than the last one so it's an endless battle. I'll load up my XP image and put on my best driver and see what I can get @ 3.7 GHz I never tried it that fast yet.

This is as far as I want to push it till it starts getting cold here in Texas, I guess I could over clock the 8800's but this will do for now. BTW what do you have to do to be listed in the stats on the first page?

13owman: u should be above 19+ with your clocks easy..
Maybe your ram speeds holding you back...
Plus you'll do 19K just by clocking your cards..

Your probably right I haven't Over Clocked anything but the CPU in the bios,
I could mess with ntune and tweak every thing else. Hey what do I need to do to update my stats in on the first page? I posted my score to Hwbot.org and verified my Guru3d login. I must be doing something wrong
    Thx

GJ and Nice Score 13owman :)

To get your score on the first page you need to add the hwbot tags like this "[hwbot] score - system description [/hwbot]". Then in the first post click the update link which will take you to hwbot.org, then just click scan last page for changes, which is at the upper left section of the page (Sometimes it will take a few minutes to update)

Try copying this one and just adding the brackets to it :

    hwbot 18386 - 2 x 8800 GTX SLI 576/900 - Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700 @ 3.73Ghz /hwbot
