Crysis Graphic and Performance Tweaks

guys we know crysis gone gold ! so let's do some tweaks for better graphic and performance result !

i'll start myself with little performance tweaks ( near 12 FPS improvement but low IQ loss )

default very high setting in DX9 @ 47.5 FPS


Tweaked very high setting in DX9 @ 61.6 FPS


NOTE :
This Tweak is for ppl who want to have Veryhigh Setting IQ ( almost 90% ) but High Setting Performance ( almost 70% )

There are new drivers again . 169.04 i wonder about performace incrase.

 

it's crysis tweak which is done with advanced in-game console commands

 

is this only for very high settings?
what did you change?

yep, it's optimized for very high setting but u could try it with different setting ( high , med ... )

first read readme.txt then in-game setting choose medium quality for example and click on apply then in your console type "exec system.cfg" you'll have 80% of medium performance ( or lower ) with better shadow and hdr quality .

there are too many console commands out there which would help in crysis performance tweaks but as i said there are too many of them

some of these commands are default veryhigh setting to make sure they all have the current values ...

system.cfg will be executed @ game startup

Doesn't improve FPS too much, but it feels smoother and looks nicer. Good work.

 

how do i exactly type the exec system.cfg?

im in game and in console i type exec system.cfg and it says unknown command

wait..to create system.cfg i just make a notepad file and paste your values right? then rename it system.cfg?

 

I am thinking that would be right. Most games run their default configurations out of an editable file. Just paste it in note pad and save it with the correct name and paste is in the correct folder.

 

How the hell are you getting 47 fps at Very High DX9??????

I get 13 fps @ 1600x1200, no AA!!!
