Some of you may remember my post from a while back about the high end gaming laptop... Well I have seen the error of my ways and decided to get a desktop. But there are still a good deal of times when I could use a nice laptop to play a couple games at modest settings on. So basically i want a laptop that will run CS:Source at moderate settings with good playability at the very lowest price possible. Thanks for your help.

Or a Dell Vostro. Those have a 8600GT and I think are a little cheaper than the Inspirion models. Oh, and what SorienOR said.. always look for a coupon. Here's a good site for the newest deals: http://forum.notebookreview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12 Mike.
thanks @netgamer: wow i was expecting at least 1k for a 7600 what kind of performance would i get with that compaq though?? the memory looks awefully small and it has integrated graphics.. ive actually played on a laptop with the X1300 integrated GFX card and the performance was pretty pitiful
Hi Netgamer thanks for giving some great choices, i just bought the HP Compaq 6515b notebook ... cheers ________________________________ Notebook computers
the 7600 is not intergrated, and with the small 1gig Ram, you can Always buy a 1gig stick for $50 and put it in it, but 256mb for a Geforce GO 7600 is good it games like mad i LOVE mine
<------ i got my laptop for 1,200USD its a HP, 17'' widescreen runs CS:S at 50fps at 1680x1050 with everything up and 2x AA and 4xAF its pretty much slow at most any newer games, but CS:S is about the only game I play now anyways
