Is it not possible that Vista runs worse (especially laggy) because you're running 2GB of Ram? I would think Crysis online would need more, you're probably using over 650MB idle.

    Just a thought.

    Yep.

vista lag is terrible. i almost get twice the frame rate in XP.

so, even with 4GB ram, you still get the stuttering??

i'm using dual monitors, task bar in the other window, my ram usage never exceeds 1.8GB & only 65% of the 2 cores i have.

why do i get lag, when i still have plenty of resources???....
beta. but i am confident it will smooth out soon.

I didn't think it was funny. Considering BF2 online needed (at high settings) 1.5GB to run smoothly on XP, I was making an inference. I know people that are running the beta OK on Vista, apart from the obvious bugs.

And to think that Vista (especially 64-bit) won't need more than 2GB for gaming, now that's funny.

well got rid of the blobs usin the new drivers and i have to say this game rocks.

just the mechanics of the aiming and the suit and stuff like that are great.

not so sure about the size of the maps with just 16 a side, not enough people on, but i bet the SP will be amazing, anyone know if the demo will have the higher graphics settings?

again (i know its been stated but some ppl havent read it yet)

this beta is not optimized, thus the performance should not be taken as a downer

it will be optimized in the demo (well duh) and then who wants to know about certain cards will be provided a true answer on how they will be performance wise

how come u didnt get the gts? how much cheaper is the fatal1ty ?

i think the gts is bit better clocked and the 8600gt has 22.4 GB/sec bandwidth the gts has 32 GB/S bandwidth and is HDCP compatible so its not quite a gts...... i would of spent the bit xtra on the gts if i was gonna buy a 8600 series

here in brazil the difference (talking about prices) between these two cards is large...

    if i had more money, i'd buy a 8800 ( about $1.000 here)
