    Hello everyone,
ive been reading guru forum since i got my new pc and i still dont have
the perfect driver for my system.. so i keep testing the new ones :D

i noticed a big fps boost on Quakewars with 163.67 but it wouldnt let
me enable SLI on that driver

now with this new 163.69 i can enable SLI but i dont get any noticeable
performance boost on any game.. ??
not with split-frame or any of the other SLI options :(

i also get random crashes while running games.. either the screen freezes
or the sound becomes a loud annyoing beeeeeeeep and after ~1min the
    screen freezes

I absolutely love these new Betas. 2-3FPS increase in Bioshock w/ DX10 on. :D

I haven't received any BSOD's, but my FPS hasn't increased by a noticeable amount either. Crysis performs exactly the same.

I updated from 163.67 to 163.69 because of the WIC improvements cited in the Release Notes. WIC doesn't run any differently, so I'm assuming it must be a DX10 fix.

Also, I'm running Vista x64 and now nHancer fails to start, generating a message about an XML error in nvapps.xml.

Nvidia keeps making better drivers for Vista :bounce:

If they could fix the SLI bug, I bounce all the way and buy that 2nd GTX

Hello guys, I would like to comment on the problem I´m having:

I have a GEFORCE 8800 GTS (640MB) and I am having problems while using it with Maya 2008. The problem consists on the orbiting in the viewport while several faces or vertex are selected. When they aren´t selected everything runs silk smooth, but as you know with this little problem, the workflow is a complete mess. This slowdown seems as if you had a damn Celeron P2, 128 Ram and a Voodoo Card (guess we´ve all been there at some point, lol).

In some other threads they´ve mentioned about the disabling of an option called "Threaded Optimization" under the Manage 3d settings in the nvidia control panel, but I´ve NEVER had that option with none of the versions I´ve downloaded, and let me mention all the versions I´ve downloaded: 97.92, 97.94, 101.x, 162.x, 163x, etc, and I´ve never had this option.

Another strange thing is the fact that whenever I make a clean driver install, the Found New Hardware option NEVER finds the drivers, even if I point it to the CD that comes along with the card, don´t know if this matters, but this never happened before with any of my nvidia cards, and hell, I´ve been an nvidia card ever since the damn Voodoo cards.

I just hope someone could point me to a workaround, or should I just wait till someday a good driver appears, if so, this is a big letdown, main reason why no one even buys ATI cards since this was their trademark (having good vid cards and have a decent driver the next year).

My PC specs btw: PENTIUM D, 4 GB RAM, 500GB HD, WinXP 32bit, dual monitor setup.

Thanks for your kind response and time.

Still no PureVideo support for 7 series AGP cards :(

They could at least put a handle/profile in there that stops QuickTime and WMP from crashing if "Enable Hardware Acceleration" is selected.

Whatever dude, no current game uses that much RAM. Your system is either not optimized or you are running other applications at the same time that you are gaming.
