Hi everybody im new to the world of overclocking...... I just bought a new 2600XT 256mb GDDR3 GPU. I installed teh drivers from the disk and played around with the ATI overdrive feature. I found this feature to be totaly rubbish somtimes i even ended up with lower 3dmark6 score than stock speed. I read somwhere that when you use ATI overdrive that it lowers the multiplyers on the board which which lower overall performance the more you over clock. Anyway im now looking to use one of the more underground tools and have downloaded and installed Riva. I changed my gpu clock speed in riva from 800MHz stock to 842MHz click apply then rushed to teh hardware monitor in rivato check clockspeeds. What i found when i got there to say the least was disapointing. My core was running at 803.25MHz.......

The next thing i tried was to uninstall teh Catalyst Control Center using the ATI install manager. Restarted and tried again...... Same results.......

    Any ideas people?
