I downloaded the Infernal demo the other day and I can't get it to run. I can do everything up until the level loads and then I get a BSOD saying something about atiduag.dll. I haven't tried any different drivers (currently using 7.8). Has anyone else had this problem? I tried Google but, couldn't seem to find anything. If anyone has or had this problem, have you fixed it? if so, I could really use the help.

If you're on Vista, you need to set compat to XP, and install the latest DX9 files.

I haven't tried running the game on Vista yet. I have been trying to run the game on my XP drive.I have the latest version of DirectX (August, I think).

Sorry you're running into problems. It's a fun game. I ran through the full version twice without a hitch but then, my system differs from yours in video, cpu and ram.

Take a look at "raybay"'s suggestions for fixing the atiduag.dll problem on the following:

    Hope those tips help!

I have played it before and I had no problems with x64 vista. The game is highley repeditive though. Get keycard open door etc.

I had found that post the other day and it didn't help much, as I had already tried all the obvious stuff. I didn't try uninstalling Java though. I guess I will try that.

    EDIT: didn't work

This question is for everyone that has played Infernal and has an ATI card: What version drivers is everyone using?

I got the full version and I am still having the same problem.

no the game just crashes... playlogic was suppose to make a patch but sold infernal to another company I heard or along those lines... the game is just a crash fest for some people.. nothing you can do about it ..

I played the demo a few months back. Worked fine with CAT 7.4. Infact everything works fine with CAT 7.4 so i've not even bothered with anything newer. You could try that, but then again you have a 2900XT so......

I think I'm almost finished the game, no crashes yet. Actually lots told me the game sucked, but it's actually quite good. Have enjoyed playing it. Been even better since playing it on my 8800...
