Hi ! I can buy a Intel QX6850 form someone but will that give me some good performance boost for my 2900XT's. Currently i have a e6600. That should save some extra fps ? :smoke:
i seriously doubt if you'll get a noticeable fps increase. Your card isnt even nearly bottenecking that highend cpu, and a better cpu will be faster, but in most games you'll be very hard pressed to find a difference. Maybe in games like supreme commander, with thousands of unit on screen it'll make a difference, otherwise, you wont notice it. PS it'll be a huge waste of money
if you are getting it for a good price then go for it, i know people that have overclocked E6600's that are upgrading to q6600's because it is worth it and you'll get a nice boost in up and coming games.
