that special was AWESOME. some of the most hilarious and amazing stuff seen in their adventures yet. that Toyota took a beating. little hard to watch all 3 of them get basically demoralized due to the elements about half way thru but still overall a definite must see. was laughing the whole way thru.

Since I'm a licence payer I'm going to be looking around the torrent sites for this one.... because this time it was broadcast in HD as well!! woo hoo!!
Shame I have to do that, it should be available for everyone in HD.

Well I didn't wait. I watched it last night when it was on TV. Just to get BBC stuff in HD you need a Sky or Virgin subscription thing. That shouldn't be the case considering we all pay for it. But I'll torrent the HD versions.

Ahhh haa. I've just re read your posts. Yes I am in the UK. There was a totally new episode on TV last night before Heroes. I'm not talking about an old one bud. It kind of turned up like a surprise, I think loads of people didn't know it was on.

ive seen it too yesterday, and it was absolutely superb! Jeremy wanting to do a luxe trip to the pole, with lots of chocolate snacks and even gin.

and i think all props to the people that prepared the hilux, jeremy did everything he could to break it, but it still went on.

was just on the arctic trucks website: bloody amazing, shame there's no prices!

would love one for when it snows in aberdeen; they don't grit the roads so you spend most of your trip to work pulling people from crashed cars and pushing them out of snow drifts!

    Yep saw it. Great entertainment.

I liked all the little tricks the local experts had up their sleeve for when the lads got into trouble.

I have to say, top gear is one of the most consistently funny and amusing shows on TV. So many people all over the world watch it it'd be a crime to ever cancel it! Roll on the new autumn season :D

In the arctic, the air is not dense at all (hot air takes up more space than cold air)

by lighting a flammable liquid, the oxygen required to ignite the fuel requires a larger volume of air, this volume of air is burned up, leaving a vacuum (absence of air) which sucks the tyre onto the rim.

it is in fact a lot more complicated, but you get the idea?
