I'm not too impressed with the new releases from ATi, like the 2600XT series, and have been seeing a lot of love toward the 1950XT model but haven't been seeing preferences as to the brand. I'd like to have opinions on the two stated brands. I currently am using a HIS 1950Pro and haven't experienced any troubles from it. The Sapphire version is considerably cheaper in cost than the HIS. Thanks for the input
ive had the same exact card as u for a week and im lovin it...no problems at all,if i ever needed another vid card from HIS it would probly be the X1950XT unless i can find a better deal on a ati vid card for my future c2d rig i plan on building. but yea i recommend HIS vid cards certainly.
How are these XT's Crossfired? If I had two of them, how would I use Crossfire since there are no plugs where the bridges normally go?
Go for the HIS I had a Sapphire x1900xt 512 a while ago but I had to rma. That's why I would go with HIS but it's just my experience...
Yeah, but you really shouldn't judge a company by just one incident. Sapphire is a solid company, IMO.
I know, that's why I said that it was an experience I had with them and I also gave him the reason why I would go for HIS
I have a Sapphire card, but if I could have gone for it, I probably would have gone for the HIS brand simply because its cooler is much quieter. I'm not complaining though. I got mine for $180 USD.
Sapphire's price is set at the right place. HIS cooler is so much quieter but if you can afford it, why not add a few bucks to get the 8800 GTS 320 mb? Go sapphire.
I know someone who has the HIS card and it is quieter than my own, however it was more expensive. Its a bit like the immovable object and the unstoppable force - neither wins! :smoke:
